My name is Karen M. Ivey, R.N. and I hold the occupation of Registered Nurse.  I've been a member of Bonded Through Books since May, 2005.  I joined the book club because I'm an ad vet reader and I wanted to discuss the many books I read with others.  I was expecting fun, excitement, diversity and friendship from "BTB."  Thus far, that has been the case.

My favorite book is "The Coldest Winter Ever" written by Sister Souljah.  I also enjoy reading the works of Teri Woods, Virginia Deberry & Donna Grant, Michael Baisden, Eric Jerome Dickey and many other African American authors.

My hobbies include, traveling, shopping, and reading.  My favorite saying is "Determination - What we hope to do with Ease, We must first do with Diligence."
